Biograpghy

David Robert Selman, the founder of AXIPITUR has over 17 years of national and international business and technical experience. A degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science, David initially started off his professional career working in the Actuary department of an Insurance company. However, the pull and interest of Information Technology was too great, and he left the insurance company and joined the global consulting firm of Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH), where he worked for 15 years. His work at BAH allowed Mr. Selman to literally travel the world, and live for extended periods of time in various countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Serbia, Nigeria, Thailand, Qatar. While working for BAH he represented the firm in various capacities, initially as an Implementation Engineer where he and his team deployed major systems for the Egyptian Army, Saudi Royal Airforce, Qatari Airforce, the Serbian Ministry of Justice, and the Government of Thailand to name a few. Later as his responsibilities within the firm grew, David moved more into the business strategic side of things and less on hands-on day-to-day technology, as such, David became responsible for growing the firm’s business footprint  and maintaining established business relationships. Some of those clients included the US Navy Training Center, US Marines, SouthComm and the Egyptian Navy.

David left BAH and joined the Government of Abu Dhabi where he worked as part of that government’s infrastructure within the Vision 2030 program. David is fluent in reading and writing in Arabic and partially fluent in speaking the language

After leaving Abu Dhabi, David returned to the US and started his entrepreneurial path, and it took him to countries such as Demark, the Netherlands and England. He teamed up with a series of small companies to pursue a number of World Bank funded projects, one of which was conducting a strategic assessment on the viability of automating the Judicial System for the Government of the Republic of Ghana.  David’s recommendation suggested automation was possible and based on those findings the World Bank funded a $7 Million USD implementation of an automated system for the Government of Ghana.

Within the last 6 years, David has been fully engaged in the implementation of situational awareness systems, primarily in the law enforcement sector, and has overseen clients nationally and has established strong interests for such systems in the international arena as well
